About Dave

David M. Mroz is the founder and owner of Glimmernet Technologies, a privately-held consulting firm that specializes in developing web-based and mobile applications. Dave is a software architect and project manager and with extensive expertise in developing solutions utilizing Microsoft and open-source products and technologies. Over the past 22+ years, Dave has successfully served clients ranging from large government organizations to small, non-profit organizations and enjoys the change-of-pace and challenge that comes with serving customers across multiple industries.

The best part of my job? Hands down, it’s getting to work with all kinds of people and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how different organizations run. I get to step in, become part of their team, and really see things from the inside. It’s like having a resume packed with experience from hundreds of companies—all the knowledge, none of the job hopping!

Dave graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Computer  Engineering (CpE), which is a cross between electrical engineering and computer science / software development.  During his undergraduate experience, Dave served as a TA and the President of the Virginia Tech Virtual Corporation.  He also participated in the research and development of a Single Chip Message-Passing (SCMP) computer where he wrote a compiler-simulator for the new hardware architecture.
