About Dave
David M. Mroz is the founder and owner of Glimmernet Technologies, a privately-held consulting firm that specializes in developing web-based and mobile applications. Dave is a software architect and project manager and with extensive expertise in developing solutions utilizing Microsoft and open-source products and technologies. Over the past 22 years, Dave has successfully served clients ranging from large government organizations to small, non-profit organizations and enjoys the change-of-pace and challenge that comes with serving customers across multiple industries.
The best part about my job is getting to work in a variety of different people and seeing how their organization operates from an insider’s perspective and then becoming part of their team. At the end of the day, it’s like having a resume with dozens of employers – and all of the invaluable experience that comes from that. I really wouldn’t change that for anything and I couldn’t see myself doing much else right now.
Dave graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (CpE), which is a cross between electrical engineering and computer science / software development. During his undergraduate experience, Dave served as a TA and the president of the Virginia Tech Virtual Corporation. He also participated in the research and development of a single-chip multi-processor array where he wrote a compiler-simulator for the new hardware architecture.
